This Is Useful for Everybody - Please Take the Time to Set It Up

Today we are going to talk about automations. Gone are the days when you needed some coding wizard to set this up for you. And why should you bother, I hear you ask. Well, it saves a hell of a lot of time and if done right, it will be the end of all those boring repetitive tasks that numb your mind, break your heart and darken your soul

It has never been easier to set up automations, yet I am still amazed that people in office workplaces are either too lazy or too intimidated to set them up. There are no excuses now, because they can be set up relatively quickly and you don’t need to be a tekkie person to do it. All you need to do is have a think about the type of monotonous tasks you do in the workplace. You can start by looking at anything that involves copying and pasting, or downloading files from one system and re-uploading to another, or any kind of data entry. Then it’s a case of setting up the automation, testing it, tweaking it and you are golden, it’s a one and done operation! The good news is that the tool I am recommending today will do it for free, and is user-friendly and suitable for us folks who aren’t that nerdy.

What does it do: It allows you to set up automations in a few clicks so that repetitive tasks are a thing of the past.

Why I like it: It’s very user-friendly and has a lot of pre-built automations that you can select from. It is a Chrome extension so it is ready to use from your browser, and the user interface is very clear so you can get some tasks automated ASAP. The only real challenge is deciding what you want to automate. You can choose from their large ready-made library of automations, and it’s all very intuitive after that. In just a few clicks, and assuming you grant permissions for it to connect with your applications, the automation can be ready to go in no time. Then, test and tweak until it is just right for your specific needs.

What can it do in 5 minutes or less: It can create a variety of different automations.

How to Try It:

1. Sign up at the URL provided above.

2. Install the extension on your Chrome Browser.

3. Choose which automation you want to set up.

4. Depending on the automation you want to set up, you may need to grant access to certain applications or create new files (don’t worry, this isn’t difficult, just follow the instructions, it may be a little bit annoying to do this the first time but trust me, it’s worth it).

Some of these automations are free, but some require a premium access which is paid. I suggest playing around with the free automations and seeing if you like it or not. I am a strong believer in automations, they may not work perfectly to begin with, but after some tweaking they will be an absolute life-saver. You just need patience in setting things up right and your productivity levels will go through the roof.
