Be Warned - This is Highly Addictive!

Some people think AI is going to be the death of art forms, but who is say we aren’t all AI creations in the first place?!?

Anyway, many of us who are not blessed with the gift of musicianship, for example, can play around with these AI song creation tools and feel like we’re finally in the band.

I must stress that I use the tool I am going to recommend in today’s newsletter for fun. My kids adore the fact that I can pump out a song in whatever style I like, with lyrics referring to their names, or their teachers’ names, or their pets’ names, or their favourite cartoon character names or whatever it might be. Some users are going a step further and using songs created as background music for videos or as music at an event or demo. The point is that while AI created music isn’t going to compare or compete with the likes of Taylor Swift or The Beatles anytime soon, it certainly has some very interesting use cases that you should be considering.

What does it do: It creates original songs in a variety if styles based on simple text prompts

Why I like it: The free version of this tool is very generous indeed with 10 credits per day (which amounts to 2 versions for 5 different prompts). It also generates the songs relatively quickly and the quality is excellent. The user interface is simple and unclutted, and like all the best tools it does one job very well with the minimum of fuss.

What can it do in 5 minutes or less: It can create a 30 second snippet of a song based on your prompt, and if that’s too short then just click/tap the extend button.

2. Enter your prompt and click Create. Then just wait a minute or so and your song is ready. Simple as that! You can share, download, add to a playlists and a few other options without any restrictions.

The only limitation is the length of the song, you can extend it on the free plan, but if you want to create epics to rival “Hotel California” or “American Pie” you may wish to subscribe
