One Simple Thing to Try Today

Let’s face it - you probably get lots of emails. You probably don’t read many of them. What makes us open one email instead of another?

Simple - we open emails if we trust the sender and/or if we know the information will be useful to us.

Too many emails treat us as consumers. Always trying to persuade us to sign up to something or buy something.

This newsletter is called “Smarter Days” and it respects you and your time.

Each day I am going to send you one useful or interesting tool or resource or application or website or strategy to try out. That’s it!

The resource I choose will be something I have played around with myself, and it must have impressed me in some way. Trust me, I am cynical old soul who has been known to utter “So what!” when visiting landmarks like the Grand Canyon or the Great Wall of China, so if something piques my interest then it may be worth taking a look!

You can choose to try the resource I recommend depending on if the use case is of interest to you. I will try to choose tools that have free options, and that are relatively easy to use, and that don’t have a steep learning curve.

Smarter Days Resouce No. 1: Imagica.ai

What does it do: This is a fantastic free site (Google account sign-up required) that offers an incredible way to create AI apps. While it does offer paid plans, the free plan allows for unlimited projects.

Why I like it: So far, the user interface and user experience are impressive. It's remarkably easy to make apps and publish them for others. They also provide several useful templates to get you started. Additionally, you can upload your documents and query them with AI, adding even more versatility to your projects.

What can it do in 5 minutes or less: I created an app that finds an actor’s worst film (according to IMDB rating) just by entering their name. If I had an entertainment or movie site then I could use this on my site and collect emails in order for people to use it. I am not a coder, I just told the app via text what I wanted and it created it quickly.

Obviously I would improve the design if I were to use this in my own business but it just an example of how this app can create useful apps very quickly. One final point is that if you do want to publish the apps you create on your site, or to monetize them, then you will need to purchase a paid plan. I am not an affiliate, I just think it’s a pretty cool and user-friendly AI tool.

1. Sign up for free with your Google account

2. Select Create New Project.

3. Select to create the project with Auto Imagica and a text box will appear where you enter a prompt for your app. (see below)

That way we will get the early adopter advantage, do work faster and better, set trends, and possibly get access to a tool that others will have to pay a lot of money to use when it goes mainstream.
